Auditions
Check the list below for possible monologues. There are also several books available in both the library (808 section under Non-Fiction) and drama rooms.
Keep in mind when choosing a monologue that you should select one that is appropriate for you (approximate age, gender, acting strengths). You should also know a bit about the context of the whole play if your monologue is taken from a play or movie (some are stand-alone monologues, where there isn't a larger context). When possible, learn about the play/musical that you are auditioning for, so that you can choose a monologue that has a similar genre and/or has similar content. Often, it is best to not choose a monologue that is from the play/musical that you are auditioning for. If you need clarification on that, speak to the director, producer or casting director.
